Statement of Faith

We believe:

1. In the existence of one God, eternally existing in distinct but co-equal three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Deut.6:4; Mat. 28:19; II Cor. 13:14).

2. In the 66 books of the Old and the New Testament as verbally and fully inspired and inerrant in the original manuscripts and is our only infallible rule in matters of faith and practice.
(II Tim 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21).

3. In Jesus Christ, co-equal and co-eternal with God the Father, the only Savior of mankind, virgin-born, without sin, his vicarious or substitutionary death on the cross, historical and bodily  resurrection from the grave, real and bodily ascension to heaven and his personal, visible and future return to this earth. (John 1:1; Acts 1:11; I Cor. 15:1-4; Titus 2:13).

4. In the Holy Spirit, co-equal and co-eternal with God the Father who indwells, empowers and transforms ever believer. (Mat 28:19; John 16:13-14; John 14-16)

5. In the total sinfulness of man and his need to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ in order to be save.
(Romans 3:10-13; Ephesians 2:8-9).

6. In the bodily resurrection of the dead, the believer to eternal existence with God and the unbeliever to eternal damnation to hell.
(Daniel 12:2; John 5:24-29)

7. In the universality and unity of the Church, which is, the body of Christ, comprised of all who have been born again by the Holy Spirit having faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
(John 3:35; I Cor. 12:13; Eph. 4:4).

A humble beginning…

        A challenging future.

 History

Far Eastern Gospel Crusade, or FEGC (now SEND Int’l) started church planting missions in the Philippines after WWII, birthing several churches in the Quezon Province (south Luzon), Marinduque Islands (off the southern coasts of Luzon), Cagayan Valley (north Luzon). OMF started thereafter; primarily in the Batangas province, Bicol Province, and the Mindoro islands. Sensing the need for “fellowship in the Ministry” these churches, along with several independent, indigenous evangelical churches, decided to form an association whose primary purposes are “fellowship in the ministry” and “continuance of the mission.”

On November 1972, the group formally registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of the Philippine Government as the Association of Bible Churches of the Philippines (ABCOP). Through the years the need for stronger; “community-ness” was felt, and along with major amendments in the By-laws, the name was changed to Alliance of Bible Christian Communities of the Philippines (ABCCOP).  This was duly registered with the SEC on July 31, 1989, with Registration Number 53919.
